Kenyan Women Launch National Leadership Charter,26th-27th January 2012

Over 800 women drawn from all the 47 Counties in Kenya gathered at the Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi to launch the Women’s National Charter.

The colorful ceremony, which was held from 26^th to 27^th January 2012, was a culmination of months of hard work by Kenyan women organizations under the leadership of Amb. Prof. Maria Nzomo who, through a consultative process, developed what promises to be one of the most important tools in the struggle for women’s’ leadership in Kenya under the new constitutional dispensation.  Women Empowerment Link coordinated the development of the Charter with participation from the over 25 other organizations among them the Centre for Multiparty Democracy which managed the political party dimension.Download the complete Charter here
