Interim Independent Electoral Commission [IIEC] and the Interim Independent Boundaries Commission [IIBC]:

The IIEC is currently the elections management body in Kenya having succeeded the defunct Electoral Commission of Kenya [ECK]. The IIEC came into being in part out of the recommendations for reforming Kenya’ s electoral system of the report Independent Review Commission [IREC, popularly known as the Kriegler Commmission/Report] on the 2007 general elections. The same goes for the IIBC that has taken over the electoral jurisdiction boundaries demarcations task previously done by the ECK.
